Lottey Opportunities for PTA's

Under revised rules, PTAs and PAs can apply for lottery funding to help run after-school clubs that have an educational, art or sport focus. There is no need to have charitable status. All that is required is that:-

• you are based in Scotland
• you are a non-profit group
• you have a constitution
• you have a bank or building society account in the name of your group which requires at least two signatures on each cheque
• you can enclose your most recent audited annual accounts
• your annual income is less than £20,000
• you need a grant of between £500 and £5,000 which you can spend in one year.

This last condition may be the most difficult to satisfy but the money can be used to buy special equipment and pay for an instructor.
