Enquire - the Scottish advice service for additional support for learning
Enquire has new resources and services available for parents and young people.
Enquire provides independent advice and niformation to families of children who need extra help at school, to children and young people themselves and to professionals who work on their behalf.
Enquire offers:
* a telephone helpline and online enquiry service on 0845 123 23 03/Textphone 0131 22 22 439
* guides, factsheets and regular bulletins
* training and talks tailored to the needs of parents and professionals
* services for children and young people including workshops and interactive pages on the website at www.enquire.org.uk
New Resources
"Going to Secondary School" is the new booklet for Primary 7 pupils with additional support needs.
"Have Your Say" is a free and up-to-date video guide to participating in life at school for young people with additional support needs. Includes versions with subtitles and BSL interpretation.
Enquire's Training and Outreach Service
They can deliver training events and informal talks for up to 100 people on the following topics and much more:
* legislation
* rights and responsibilities
* developing parent/professional partnerships
