MOBILE ADVENTURE COURSE

Why not hold an "alternative" sports day with MAC?

The Mobile Adventure Course (MAC) is an obstacle course with 12 different challenges including:
- A wall which is adjustable from 4 feet to 6 feet in height
- Scramble net
- Hurdle
- Combined rope bridges
- Low walkway
- Ground net
- Walkway
- Hurdle
- Rope swing
- Hanging tyre
- Ground tyres

The Course can be set up either indoors or outdoors and can be altered to compensate for any uneven ground.

We heard from the owner of MAC, Lee Denholm, who told us that since 1992 the Mobile Adventure Course has proved to be highly successful with pupils, parents and teachers alike and is a new and interesting way to involve children in fundraising for their schools. Lee says that the amount raised obviously depends on the numbers taking part, but £1500 is the sum usually raised, however sums of £3000 have been collected.

How can your school and pupils benefit?
- The pupils will learn about teamwork
- The pupils will develop their ability to work in a team by sharing ideas and working co-operatively with a aprtner and in small groups
- Everyone will have fun at the same time as raising money for their school!

- Parents and staff can take part and it is a great way of ensuring that the whole community can be involved

Here are some comments from PTAs:
"Well organised and efficiently run event which the children enjoyed and the staff and parents appreciated. A super source of fundraising".
"Fantastic day, pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves, including the Head!"
