SPTC welcomes the ruling in the House of Lords on smacking...

The recent vote in the House of Lords on smacking in England and Wales is in line with the views of Scottish parents as reported in our 2002 survey.
This was conducted at the time when parallel legislation was being considered in Scotland. The resulting law prohibits the use of any implement, but still allows mild smacking.
