''You Just Don't Understand!''

This is the title of a DVD film of a drama written and performed by pupils at Drumchapel High, Glasgow to be used as a trigger for discussion in parenting groups.

Parenting Across Scotland (PAS) have been funded by the Scottish Government to provide a focus for issues affecting parents in Scotland today. They are a partnership of voluntary organisations and they use their experience of working with thousands of parents to find ways of of supporting parents and families better.

PAS believe that parents should be valued more, and that family relationships in all kinds of "families" are crucial to everyone's health, wellbeing and achievement. Some of their activities include:
- Sharing good ideas about things that have helped parents
- Finding out what parents are concerned about
- Working together to support families
- Providing information to parents to help bring up children
- Talking to politicians and decision-makers about parents' concerns

PAS has produced a DVD of a drama written and performed by the pupils of Drumchapel High School. The film highlights the concerns of the young people and the difficulties that they face communicating effectively with their parents. The drama was initially written for a parent information evening at the school and was so well received by the parents that attended the event, that it has subsequently been performed at the Scottish Parliament.

It was envisaged that the film would be useful as a trigger for discussion at parenting/family groups, youth groups and school.
