"You just don't understand!!"

This is the title of a DVD film of a drama written and performed by pupils at Drumchapel High, Glasgow to be used as a trigger for discussion in parenting groups.

Parenting Across Scotland (PAS) have been funded by the Scottish Government to provide a focus for issues affecting parents in Scotland today. They are a partnership of voluntary organisations and they use their experience of working with thousands of parents to find ways of of supporting parents and families better.

Running a Disco – advice on safe practice

We are constantly being asked by parents whether it is necessary to have disclosure checks done for people helping at school discos. However, we have always maintained that it is far better to take sensible precautions and follow good practice rather than relying on checks.
We have now put all this guidance into a new leaflet: “Running a Disco – advice on safe practice” which is available to download.
