Is this the end to expensive school holidays?


In a bid to cut the prices during school breaks, ABTA, (the Association of British Travel Agents) are to ask their Scottish members to consider discounting holidays during school breaks. This is because of a rise in children missing lessons because of family holidays. SPTC commented...

SPTC Development Manager, Judith Gillespie said: "Parents have a responsibility to decide what is more important. Kids are out of school for 14 weeks a year." She went on to say that a discounted holiday scheme would mean parents had "no excuse" to take pupils out of school.
