Schoolgirls prefer trousers
Last year SPTC accused high street stores of encouraging young girls to dress provocatively in short skirts in the style of Britney Spears.
Well, according to Woolworths, which sells 10% of school uniforms, schoolgirls now prefer to buy trousers for schools.
Eleanor Coner, SPTC Information Officer told "The Scotsman" that trousers are ..."a lot more practical and there are lots of different styles nowadays....." She went on to say: "I'm not a prude at all (but) I just don't think it's appropriate for that type of clothing in school".
