New laws to give parents more power in schools

"The Dundee Courier" reported on new legislation aimed to improve parental involvement. SPTC commented.

Judith Gillespie saod the plans would tackle a current lack of parental involvement in schools. "Our worry with parents allowing to request inspections would be with the parameters that move would fall under. We (SPTC) would hope that a decision like that would not be taken lightly and what we want to see is a system which will resolve any problems before they ever got to the stage where inspectors would have to be called in."
