The Children's Hearings Review was launched on 22nd April and is seeking to develop and improve the system, which tackles the needs of children who are at risk either through lack of care and protection of abuse, or who offend.

at risk either through lack of care and protection of abuse, or who
offend.
The first part of the consultation will last until July and is looking
at
the principles and objectives of the system - why do we have a
Children's
Hearings system and what do we want it to achieve for vulnerable
children?
Scottish Ministers want to hear from you - what you think the system
should
be doing and to raise awareness of Children's Hearings. With this in
mind a
number of public discussions are being organised and the dates and
locations
are listed below.
