''Making the Difference'' - leaflets for parents

As part of the Education Minister's drive to improve parental involvement, the Scottish Executive have published two more leaflets on "School Holidays" and "Starting a New School Year".

These leaflets are the fourth and fifth in the "Making the Difference" series of support packages for parents.

You can have a look at all the leaflets on the Parentzone website. (See below for more details).

The Scottish Executive suggests that schools, together with their parent representatives discuss how and when the information in the leaflt might best be made available to parents. They may feel that it would be better to adapt the information or send it out with other local material which specific to that authority.

Schools can request further copies of the leaflet or can download the text to use alongside the school's own material.
